Is there some place...
...where I can bet AGAINST 'Cloud Computing'!!!
It is going to end up like 'Interactive TV' from the 90's - specifically this part of 'Interactive TV' (extract from wikipedia):
Interactivity with TV program content
In its deepest sense, Interactivity with TV program content is the one that is "interactive TV", but it is also the most challenging to produce. This is the idea that the program, itself, might change based on viewer input.

I don't know about Cloud computing but if you want to bet against grid computing you can come to my prof's lab.

http://blog.rightscale.com/2008/07/07/cloud-computing-vs-grid-computing/
if cloud computing = grid computing = distributed computing
then ...are you saying distributed computing is a failure...i am confused now
distributed computing is more at the application level where a function is broken into discrete sub-function and each step is performed by a separate component.
cloud/grid computing is at the processor level where each step is performed by multiple components in parallel. i think parallel computing, cluster computing etc. are also similar terms.
still confused.
last line should be
"still confused ??"

sabaash! serriyaana poati!!! mmm... poar (seri..seri.. discussion) thodarattum!! i wish to b entrtained:-p
Let me not use terms like 'cloud', 'grid', 'distributed' etc.
Providing computing resources as a "service over the Internet" is something that I don't see taking off in a big way. avvalodhaan.
ok..so you are saying that i cannot get the computing power as a service ...right?
[...one last question on this topic...& don't ban me from your blog for asking nolla questions..]
makes sense...but why would someone bet for it when it makes perfect sense to bet against it...
ME! avarukku irukura 3 commntrs le neegalum oruthar .. idhule why wud he "ban" u?? neenga dhairiyama yevvalo qs venaalum kaelunga..
nee askaradhula no problem.
but looks like you are trying to analyze my statement down to the last detail. adhudhaan mishtake.
adhaan yenga thalaivar sollirkaarey. anubavikkanum. aarayakkoodaadhu!
it may make sense for me to bet against it. someone else may know/see something which i have missed.
mlc: yentertainment poarumaa?
you can even e-mail me if you want more discussion.
that way, mlc-ku entertainment venumna charge pannalaam.
I don't make a living on those concepts and I don't bet so I'll end the discussion for now...
